Intel Introduces Starfire Space-Grade Chip for Government Applications

Intel has launched Starfire, a new space-grade System-on-Chip (SoC) specifically designed for the U.S. government. This advanced chip integrates eight CPU cores and a three-tile NPU built on Intel's 18A node, alongside an Intel 3 graphics tile, all within a Foveros package. The development aims to deliver high-performance computing capabilities for space applications, offering up to 75 TOPS and operating in extreme temperatures.
