Infineon Opens €5 Billion 'Smart Power Fab' in Dresden, Doubling Semiconductor Manufacturing Capacity

Infineon Technologies has inaugurated a €5 billion (US$5.69 billion) facility in Dresden, Germany, marking its largest single investment to date. This 'Smart Power Fab' doubles manufacturing capacity at the Dresden site, creating what is described as the world's largest production facility for power semiconductors and analogue/mixed-signal technologies, and is expected to create up to 1,000 jobs.
