Intel to Invest EUR5 Billion in Ireland to Expand AI Chip Production

Intel announced a significant investment of EUR5 billion (US$5.7 billion) to expand its manufacturing site in Co Kildare, Ireland. This expansion aims to meet the surging global demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) chips, upgrading its Intel 3 silicon wafer capacity, which is Europe's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility.
