Thinking Machines Lab Launches Inkling, a 975-Billion-Parameter Open-Weight AI Model

Thinking Machines Lab, founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, has released Inkling, its first general-purpose AI model. This open-weight model features a mixture-of-experts architecture with 975 billion total parameters and supports a context window of up to 1 million tokens. It was pretrained on 45 trillion tokens across various modalities and is designed for enterprise customization through the company's Tinker platform.
