AMD and Microsoft Expand Strategic Partnership for AI and Cloud Infrastructure on Azure

AMD announced an expanded strategic partnership with Microsoft, which will see Microsoft deploying AMD's Helios rack-scale solution for frontier model AI inference on Azure. The collaboration also includes the addition of two new Azure VM series powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC “Venice” processors and broader deployment of Pensando DPUs across Azure networking services. Shipments of Helios to customers, including Microsoft, are expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
