AMD and Anthropic Form Major AI Infrastructure Partnership

AMD and AI firm Anthropic have announced a significant strategic partnership to boost AI compute capabilities. Anthropic plans to deploy up to two gigawatts of AMD Instinct MI450 Series GPUs, with the initial phase beginning in early 2027. This collaboration also includes a substantial $5 billion equity investment from AMD into Anthropic, alongside joint efforts to optimize AI workloads and advance AMD's ROCm development.
