South Korean Chipmakers Secure $950 Billion in Deals with U.S. Tech Firms, Including a $200 Billion AI Chip Pact Between Samsung and Broadcom

South Korean memory chip giants Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have entered into agreements worth US$950 billion to supply U.S. technology companies, including Nvidia, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Broadcom. A significant part of this involves a $200 billion memorandum of understanding between Samsung Electronics and Broadcom, covering the supply of advanced memory chips and foundry services for AI chip production through 2030.
