China Reportedly Begins Mass Production of Immersion DUV Chipmaking Tools

China has reportedly started mass-producing domestically developed immersion deep-ultraviolet (DUV) lithography machines, a critical technology for advanced chipmaking. This development marks a significant step in Beijing's efforts to reduce reliance on foreign semiconductor technologies, with initial deliveries expected to Chinese chipmakers like SMIC, CXMT, and Hua Hong later this year.
