Freedom Factory Unveils PQ1, the World's First Post-Quantum Hardware Wallet

Freedom Factory has launched the PQ1, a state-of-the-art hardware wallet designed to be resistant to quantum computing threats. The PQ1 aims to provide digital sovereignty for Ethereum and EVM users by employing quantum-proof signatures, such as the SPHINCS+C10 hashing algorithm, within an ERC-4337 smart account. This development addresses the looming threat of quantum computers potentially cracking existing ECDSA wallets, offering users a way to secure their assets with quantum-safe transactions today. Pre-orders are available, with devices expected to ship in Q4 2026.
