Microsoft Copilot Surpasses 30 Million Paid Seats, Azure Cloud Demand Accelerates with Data Center Expansion

Microsoft has announced that its AI assistant, Copilot, has surpassed 30 million paid seats, indicating significant enterprise adoption of embedded AI in workflows. Concurrently, Microsoft Cloud revenue, particularly Azure and other cloud services, continues to accelerate, with Azure revenue growing 43% year-over-year and exceeding $100 billion annually for the first time. To meet the surging demand for AI infrastructure, Microsoft added 31 new data centers across five continents during the quarter and plans to roughly double its total capacity over two years.
