CISA Releases New Minimum Elements for Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) Guidance

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), in collaboration with partners, has published the 2026 Minimum Elements for a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), updating the previous 2021 guidance. This new baseline aims to enhance software supply chain security by providing updated guidelines for SBOMs, which are crucial for identifying and managing software components and their vulnerabilities.
