Heilongjiang Province, a traditional industrial heartland in northeast China, is undergoing a significant transformation by leveraging robotics and artificial intelligence to foster new growth engines. Exhibits at the Harbin Institute of Technology showcase advanced robotics, including surgical robots with micron-level precision and automated systems for constructing giant ice sculptures. This initiative is part of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) to upgrade its manufacturing sector and advance AI, with local authorities aiming for the intelligent robotics industry to exceed 10 billion yuan by 2028.
