Cloudflare Introduces Agent Development Lifecycle, Programmable Wallets, and AI-Powered Engineering Standards

Cloudflare has unveiled a suite of new tools and initiatives aimed at enhancing the development and operation of AI agents. These include the Agent Development Lifecycle, designed to manage the entire software development lifecycle for AI agents, and Cloudflare Wallets, which provide AI agents with native payment capabilities and verifiable identity on the web through the x402 protocol. Additionally, Cloudflare detailed how it uses its internal AI system, the Cloudflare Codex, to enforce engineering standards across its development teams, flagging hundreds of thousands of deviations and blocking thousands of merges.
