SK hynix and Sandisk Unveil First High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) Standard Specifications for AI Memory Solutions
SK hynix, in collaboration with Sandisk, has announced the first standard specifications for High Bandwidth Flash (HBF), a next-generation storage technology designed to address memory bottlenecks in the AI era. This open standard, disclosed through the Open Compute Project (OCP), aims to enable high-speed data transfer similar to HBM while significantly expanding capacity using NAND technology, with Google and Tenstorrent already participating in the HBF consortium.
