Chinese robotics specialist UBTech has unveiled its new U1 humanoid robot, designed to serve as an 'emotional companion.' The U1 model features conversational AI, motorized facial components, and soft skin, aiming to provide a hyper-realistic interaction experience. Targeted at singles and seniors, the robot has already garnered over 13,300 pre-orders, with deliveries anticipated to begin in September.
