Over 4,400 Rockwell PLCs Exposed Online, Including 22 in US Water Attack Cities

Forescout research revealed over 4,400 internet-facing Rockwell Automation Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) globally, with 2,844 in the US, including 22 in cities recently targeted by cyberattacks on US water utilities. The exposure of EtherNet/IP on port 44818 creates an unauthenticated path for potential attackers.
