Researchers at Syracuse University have developed a vision-based "perception-and-action" system enabling a humanoid robot to observe construction workers and replicate their physical techniques. This breakthrough allows the robot to successfully learn and execute 30 distinct construction skills, addressing projected worker shortfalls and safety concerns in the industry.
