NASA Awards United Semiconductors Contract to Scale Semiconductor Production on International Space Station

United Semiconductors LLC (USLLC) has been awarded a multi-year Phase 2 contract by NASA, through its In-Space Production Applications (InSPA) program, to significantly scale semiconductor crystal production aboard the International Space Station. This initiative aims to overcome the limits of conventional materials for next-generation memory and high-performance devices, paving the way for a post-silicon era with faster switching, optical-speed data movement, and quantum-ready architectures.
