SK Hynix Plans $38 Billion Investment in South Korean AI Memory Fabs

SK Hynix announced a $38.3 billion investment through 2031 to build new DRAM and NAND fabrication plants in Yongin and Cheongju, South Korea. This strategic expansion aims to substantially increase the company's production capacity for AI memory products, including High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM). The move is intended to help stabilize the global AI semiconductor supply chain amid rising demand.
