SK hynix Commits ₩54 Trillion to New AI Memory Fabs in South Korea

SK hynix has announced a multi-year plan to invest ₩54 trillion (approximately $40 billion USD) in building new semiconductor fabrication plants in Yongin and Cheongju, South Korea. This significant investment aims to expand the company's AI-focused memory capacity, including high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and next-generation DRAM, in response to accelerating demand driven by artificial intelligence.
