Researchers from the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) have demonstrated that standard WiFi networks can identify and track people with nearly 100% accuracy, without the need for cameras or specialized equipment. The system utilizes unencrypted signals exchanged between WiFi devices and routers to create radio-based images of individuals, recognizing them within seconds, even from different angles and regardless of their gait.
