TCS and Rolls-Royce Achieve Breakthrough in Hydrogen-Powered Aviation

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Rolls-Royce have announced a major milestone in their hydrogen propulsion program, successfully demonstrating the operation of a modern aero gas turbine across a fully simulated flight cycle using 100% hydrogen. This achievement, the culmination of a four-year program, validates critical hydrogen propulsion technologies for combustion, fuel systems, and engine controls, bringing hydrogen-powered flight closer to reality. TCS provided engineering expertise for development, testing, and validation, supporting areas such as fuel system and engine controls integration, hydrogen combustion analysis, and data analytics.
