SMIC Raises Prices Amid Surging AI-Related Demand for Semiconductor Production

China's leading foundry, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC), has announced price increases for its most sought-after production capacity. The company stated that demand driven by artificial intelligence would continue to underpin orders, leading to negotiations with customers and higher charges for wafers processed in the third quarter.
