OpenAI Launches 'Computer History' Feature in ChatGPT for macOS

OpenAI has introduced a new 'Computer History' feature in its ChatGPT desktop app for macOS, allowing ChatGPT and Codex to reference a user's recent activity across applications and websites. This feature, which replaces the earlier Chronicle research preview, records interaction events like clicks and typing, converting them into text summaries for improved contextual understanding. It is available to ChatGPT Pro, Business, and Enterprise users and is off by default, requiring user and, for Business/Enterprise, administrator enablement.
