Japan Plans Largest AI Data Center in Akita Prefecture, Valued at $12.5 Billion

A ¥2 trillion ($12.5 billion) project is underway to build Japan's largest artificial intelligence data center in Akita Prefecture. Led by S2, a server management firm, and U.S. startup Bitgrit, in cooperation with local authorities, the initiative aims to establish Akita as a hub for AI-related businesses and talent.
