Apple Patches Critical macOS Screen Sharing Vulnerability Exploited for Monero Mining

Apple has released a patch for a critical macOS Screen Sharing vulnerability (CVE-2026-65400) that hackers have been actively exploiting to gain root access and install Monero mining software on internet-exposed Macs. The flaw is a state management error that could allow unauthenticated network-based attackers to bypass authentication.
