Nvidia Manager and Eight Others Indicted in Taiwan for AI Chip Smuggling

Taiwanese prosecutors have indicted a senior Nvidia manager and eight other individuals for allegedly smuggling advanced Nvidia B300 AI chips into China, circumventing U.S. export restrictions. The scheme involved shipping 74 servers with these high-end chips via Japan and Indonesia, with an additional 56 servers seized before export. This marks Taiwan's first criminal case involving an Nvidia employee in the illicit trade of AI hardware, underscoring the challenges in enforcing technology export controls.
