Linux Foundation Adopts TRACE Specification for Hardware-Backed AI Agent Trust
The Linux Foundation has announced the adoption of TRACE (Trust, Runtime Attestation and Compliance Evidence), a hardware-backed runtime evidence specification for AI agents. Collaboratively developed by AMD, Intel, Microsoft, OPAQUE, and the Technology Innovation Institute, TRACE aims to create an open standard for cryptographically verifiable AI, providing evidence of an agent's identity, authorization, execution environment, and policy enforcement.
