JFrog Introduces Traffic Controller for Software Package Download Governance

JFrog has launched Traffic Controller, a network-layer enforcement system designed to provide enterprises with a centralized control point for software package downloads. This system governs requests initiated by developers, automated tools, and AI coding agents, working in conjunction with JFrog's Artifactory repository and Curation service, as well as Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platforms from Zscaler, Cloudflare, and Netskope. The goal is to reroute package requests through a secure, governed software supply-chain path, addressing a critical gap in managing dependencies pulled directly from developer environments by AI-assisted tools.
