Tesla has confirmed an invite-only Cybercab launch event for September 3, 2026, in Austin, Texas, with a public livestream. The autonomous robotaxis will operate at SAE Level 4 autonomy without human supervision within a defined operational domain, utilizing Tesla's Hardware 4.0 sensor suite and FSD version 14.3.3. Public road engineering tests in Austin began in June, providing two months of real-world data on production hardware.
