AWS to Deploy 2 Million Additional NVIDIA GPUs by 2028 to Meet Surging AI Demand

Amazon Web Services (AWS) plans to deploy an additional 2 million NVIDIA GPUs, including Blackwell Ultra, Rubin, and Rubin Ultra, across its global infrastructure between 2027 and 2028. This massive expansion aims to meet the accelerating global demand for AI infrastructure and will support a wide range of AI workloads, from scientific discovery to enterprise automation and physical AI. This builds on an earlier commitment to add over 1 million chips starting in 2026.
