South African SMBs Face Rising Cybersecurity Risks, Social Engineering Most Common Attack

A new Kaspersky study reveals that nearly eight out of ten South African small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) experienced a cybersecurity incident in the past year, with social engineering identified as the most prevalent attack method. Outdated software or hardware and 'Shadow IT' were cited as major contributing factors to increased exposure.
