Google Patches Actively Exploited Zero-Day Vulnerability (CVE-2026-85046) in Chrome

Google has released security updates for its Chrome browser to address 12 vulnerabilities, including a high-severity zero-day (CVE-2026-85046) that is actively being exploited in the wild. The flaw is a type confusion bug in Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTML page. Users are advised to update to Chrome versions 152.0.7977.82/.83 for Windows and macOS, and 152.0.7977.82 for Linux.
