Sivers Semiconductors Invests $30 Million to Expand Indium Phosphide Manufacturing for AI and Optical Networking

Sivers Semiconductors is investing $30 million to significantly expand its indium phosphide (InP) manufacturing facility in Glasgow, Scotland. This expansion is in anticipation of increased customer production driven by growing demand from AI datacenters and optical networking. The program, set to begin in late 2026 and become operational in Q4 2027, will support annual production of over 100 million continuous wave distributed feedback lasers and enhance manufacturing flexibility.
