Google patches sixth Chrome zero-day of 2026 exploited in wild

Google has released an update for Chrome (version 152.0.7977.82/.83) to address CVE-2026-85046, a type-confusion vulnerability in the V8 JavaScript engine that has already been exploited in the wild. This marks the sixth Chrome zero-day patched by Google in 2026. The update also fixes nine other high-severity bugs across various Chrome components.
