Google Issues Emergency Chrome Update for Actively Exploited Zero-Day Vulnerability

Google has rolled out an emergency desktop update for its Chrome browser to address a high-severity zero-day vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2026-85046, in its V8 JavaScript engine. The type confusion flaw is actively being exploited in the wild, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code within Chrome's sandbox via a specially crafted HTML page.
