CISA and FBI Issue New Guidance for Outage Communications

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the FBI, and cyber agencies from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the U.K. have released new joint guidance for service providers on outage communications. The 'Communicating Under Pressure: Best Practices for Service Providers' advisory recommends predefined incident thresholds, backup communication channels, and preassigned response roles to improve incident response during outages.
