AWS Partners with Qualcomm for Next-Generation AI Data Center Infrastructure

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a multi-generational product collaboration with Qualcomm to develop next-generation AI data center infrastructure, specifically targeting inference workloads. This strategic partnership expands AWS's custom-chip strategy beyond its in-house Trainium processors and existing supplier Broadcom, signaling a diversification in its AI silicon sourcing. Qualcomm aims to achieve $15 billion in data-center revenue by fiscal 2029 as a result of this and other hyperscaler engagements.
