OpenAI Unveils GPT-6 Astra, Demonstrates Advanced AI Agent Capabilities, and Solves Millennium Prize Problem

OpenAI has announced GPT-6 Astra, its most intelligent and aligned model to date, while also revealing significant advancements in its internal use of AI agents, which now contribute 3.1 agent-workdays for every human workday in research. Furthermore, an internal OpenAI system, described as "significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra," has successfully solved the Navier-Stokes existence and smoothness problem, one of the seven Millennium Prize Problems. This rapid progress has prompted OpenAI's chief scientist, Jakub Pachocki, to call for "extreme caution" and potential regulatory intervention to ensure human control over AI's future. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang noted that GPT-6 Astra was trained on over 100,000 Nvidia Grace Blackwell GPUs.
