OpenAI Launches Agents API and Secures Major Deal with U.S. Government for ChatGPT Access

OpenAI has introduced its new Agents API, a fully managed service designed to allow developers to easily spin up production-ready AI agents. Concurrently, OpenAI and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced a multi-year agreement making ChatGPT for Government available at no license fees and 50% off usage for federal, state, local, and tribal governments, extending advanced cyber-defender programs to verified government entities.
