Microsoft Releases Extensive Security Patches; SAP Fixes Critical Kernel Flaw

Microsoft's latest Patch Tuesday addressed 974 vulnerabilities, including two previously exploited privilege escalation flaws (CVE-2026-81963, CVE-2026-85880) in Windows Update Stack and ALPC, now added to CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Separately, SAP patched a maximum-severity kernel vulnerability, "OVERPASS" (CVE-2026-44756), which could allow unauthenticated remote code execution. These updates are crucial for system security.
