Worldwide spending on cloud infrastructure services reached $143.4 billion in the second quarter of 2026, marking a substantial 43% year-over-year increase. This represents the fastest growth rate recorded in eight years for the category, with enterprise adoption of AI infrastructure and services identified as the primary driver. During this period, Amazon Web Services' market share saw a decrease to 28%, while Google Cloud achieved a record 15% market share, demonstrating an 82% year-over-year growth rate.
