New DDRop Attack Bypasses Intel TDX and AMD SEV-SNP Confidential Computing

Researchers have disclosed a novel hardware attack, dubbed 'DDRop,' that can circumvent the memory protection mechanisms in Intel TDX and AMD SEV-SNP confidential computing by silently dropping writes to a server's memory, potentially allowing a processor to read outdated encrypted data.
