Agility Robotics Unveils Digit 5, a Humanoid Robot Designed for Safe Collaboration with Humans

Agility Robotics has introduced Digit 5, the latest generation of its general-purpose humanoid robot, engineered for cooperatively safe work alongside people in warehouses and factories. This new model can lift up to 50 pounds, a 40% increase from its predecessor, and features a battery that allows for over 20 hours of work in a 24-hour day with rapid recharging. Digit 5 utilizes AI and multiple sensors to detect and safely navigate around humans, eliminating the need for traditional safety barriers. Early access is expected in the first half of 2027.
