AMD Acquires AI Company World Labs, Fei-Fei Li to Become Chief Scientist

Chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has acquired World Labs, an artificial intelligence company founded by Fei-Fei Li, a prominent AI researcher often referred to as "The Godmother of AI." Li will join AMD as its chief scientist. World Labs specializes in "spatial intelligence" and developing world models that simulate and predict physical world behavior, with applications in robotics and virtual simulations.
