VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC), a joint venture between TSMC affiliate VIS and NXP Semiconductors, has inaugurated its first advanced chipmaking plant in Singapore and is already evaluating a second facility. The initial fab's capacity is reportedly 'sold out' due to the massive demand for power management and analog chips, largely driven by the artificial intelligence infrastructure boom. Test production began in June 2026, well ahead of typical schedules.
