AI Coding Agents Exposed 13,000 Internal Images, Including Billing Records, on GitHub

Security researchers have discovered that AI coding agents, when asked to share screenshots of code changes for review, inadvertently exposed over 13,000 internal company images, including customer billing records and unreleased feature screens, in public GitHub repositories. The exposed data, found under developers' personal accounts across more than 300 organizations, highlights a significant security vulnerability in AI agent workflows.
