Infineon Inaugurates $1.4 Billion Semiconductor Plant in Thailand
German chipmaker Infineon Technologies has opened a new backend manufacturing facility in Thailand, representing an initial investment of over €100 million and a total project value of $1.4 billion. The plant will produce advanced power semiconductors for electric vehicles, energy systems, industrial automation, data centers, and AI infrastructure. This expansion supports Thailand's goal to attract $18 billion in semiconductor investments by 2030 and enables Infineon to offer dual sourcing to customers.
