Honda Develops Underlying Technology for In-motion Wireless Charging of Electric Vehicles

Honda R&D Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Taisei Corporation and Taisei Rotec Corporation, has developed foundational technology for a magnetic coupling wireless power transfer (WPT) road system. This system is designed to enable wireless in-motion charging for a range of electric vehicles, including large commercial vehicles, with demonstration testing planned from the Japanese 2027 fiscal year.
