U.S. Department of Defense Ceases Use of Anthropic AI Tools

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has confirmed it no longer uses AI tools from Anthropic, a prominent AI developer. This follows a phase-out period initiated after Anthropic was designated a national security supply chain risk in February for not removing safety guardrails from its Claude model. Reports indicated Claude was still in use for military operations last week, highlighting challenges in integrating and then removing AI systems.
